Dimensionals: ASSEMBLE! Join The Upcoming Playtest on July 10th!
Mark your calendars: the upcoming playtest for Dimensionals begins on July 10th! We're beyond excited to finally let you dive into our game and experience our Saturday morning cartoon meets epic RPG adventure firsthand. In celebration of the big news, we dropped an exciting new trailer announcement trailer.
Pretty sweet, huh? Along with the trailer, I wanted to take some time today to highlight some of the unique features that help Dimensionals stand out from the pack. But first, we would like to address the elephant in the room.
As some of you may already know, we made the decision to not integrate NFTs into the game. While we initially explored this concept with our "Genesis Stones" collection, our development path has led us to steer clear of any blockchain integration into the game. We want to create an inclusive and enjoyable gaming experience for all players on all platforms. Your enthusiasm, feedback, and support have been invaluable to us throughout this journey. We’re excited for you all to experience a kick-ass game free of web3 and NFT technology, one that blends roguelike gameplay with the 90s RPG flair we all adore.
Speaking of that gameplay, how about we dig in a bit?
This playtests introduces a very early test of the story campaign mode, where you can play through hand crafted levels, stories and challenges. Plus you’ll get to meet Koa, Eve, Shork and Shop keep in the first two episodes of our comic like story. The campaign levels still follow the roguelike gameplay, meaning you can replay each one to find new crazy combos and emerge victorious over the increasingly difficult challenges. Drop your feedback. It’s early, so we’d love to hear what you like, what you hate, and if you think Shork is an idiot because shopkeep sold him the shoes he was already wearing.
For players looking for that additional level of challenge, you can return to the Master Raid Mode. In Master Raid Mode, you assemble your perfect team of heroes in order to overcome procedurally generated maps, fight each of the challenging bosses, and defeat Ragnorath, King of the Specters. There is still a lot to come here, so stay tuned.
In both campaign and Master Raid mode, we’ve made a critical adjustment to how mana works. You now start each battle with 3 mana, and gain +1 extra mana each turn, just like Hearthstone or Marvel Snap. We think this makes battles much more interesting, challenging and means you need to think about both early and end game. Let us know what you think of the change, if you like it we’ll be introducing some cool new high-cost mythic equips.
